Answer: UIP4020A is a transition coupling for PVC to copper, PEX, or CPVC. U020LFA is not a transition coupling. It will only work for copper, PEX, or CPVC on both sides. -

Can this be used underground?
Answer: Yes, it can be used under the ground but avoid putting it under a slab/concrete so that it is easily accessible in case of a leak development. -
Question:
Can this connect cpvc to pex?
Answer: The white end is designed for use with Schedule 40/80/120 PVC or Schedule 40/80 CPVC. The tan end of this fitting can be used with PEX, Copper, CPVC, HDPE, and PE-RT. For connecting CTS CPVC to PEX, we recommend using SharkBite fitting part # U016LFA. -

Will this fitting work on a copper pipe that has the exact measure of a 3/4 inch PVC pipe to connect to a regular 3/4 inch copper pipe?
Answer: The tan end of SharkBite fitting part # UIP4016A is suitable for use with 3/4" nominal CTS copper pipe with an outside diameter of 7/8". We do not recommend applying in IPS copper pipe due to lack of testing results in this application. -

I have 1/2 inch copper pipe under my sink have to replace the faucet can I use this to convert the copper to PVC?
Answer: Yes, if you have regular PVC. If you have CPVC, you can use our regular couplings. -

Can this connect pex to hdpe. or what can?
Answer: The white side connects to PVC only. The beige side can be connected to copper, PEX, CPVC, or HDPE if the HDPE has SDR-9 and ASTM D2737 ratings. -

Does this work for galvanized pipe also?
Answer: SharkBite Universal fittings should not be installed (threaded or push-to-connect) on galvanized tubing. -
