CNCTOPBAOS Milling Machines Editorial Review
The 4th axis rotary table with chuck is sold as a whole kit, the chuck is removable, and the runout on this axis is less than .0001". The stepper motor is a NEMA23 and can work with Mach4 software if the control module supports it. There is a version available with a NEMA34 stepper motor. The packaging is excellent with nice workmanship, although the NEMA23 stepper motor at the end is open to coolant and has flimsy cables that are unprotected. However, an enclosure to hide the stepper and cable nuts or an armored cable can be added. The chuck is a standard 4" CN-made chuck. Some reviewers have had issues with backlash but discovered it was due to loose set screws on the motor shaft. This rotary table has high holding torque when steppers provide full current while holding. The amount of torque needed to break the hold is more than any high feed low doc operation will put on even materials like titanium. This rotary table works great with very little runout and is smooth as silk.
