Answer: My son is 5’2 and 98 pounds and I got him a large and they were big. I had to tighten them at the waist with the adjustable band. The sizes of these shorts can’t be compared to their athletic shorts. -

What size do I order for a 26” waist?
Answer: My child is pencil thin and waist measures 28.5. I ordered xlg and they measure 32.5 in waist. Have not worn. Size 16 waist measures 28.5 so I would think Md would work. New sizing threw me off as I have to consider length of shorts for his long legs. Hope this helps. -
