The AmScope T390C Professional Compound Trinocular Microscope is a good quality tool that is easy to use and has intuitive controls. It has very clear optics and is well built. It comes without slides so it would be necessary to purchase a set of prepared slides. The maximum magnification is 100x and can easily see bacteria with the oil immersion feature. The price is a fraction of what professional scopes cost but operates in the same way. One reviewer had trouble with a dirty inside lens of the third ocular but was able to see yeast and bacteria with great clarity.
