The Metolius Upshot Belay Glasses have garnered a range of responses from climbers, with many praising their comfort and functionality. Users report finding the glasses to be more comfortable and effective than cheaper alternatives. The wider lens coverage allows for a better field of vision, making it easier to monitor climbs from below. Many customers appreciate that the glasses can fit over regular prescription glasses, which adds to their versatility. However, durability seems to be a significant concern among users. While some were satisfied with the glasses' performance initially, multiple reviews highlighted issues with fragile Construction. The bridge component of the glasses has been reported to snap or crack with relatively light use, leading some climbers to seek out more robust options. Additionally, the screws used to hold the arms in place have been criticized for coming loose, prompting users to apply adhesive as a preventive measure. Despite these drawbacks, a number of climbers still recommend the glasses for their comfort, encouraging others to proceed with caution regarding their fragility. In conclusion, while the Metolius Upshot Belay Glasses excel in comfort and usability, potential buyers should be aware of the durability concerns that have been frequently mentioned. **
