The SF Fishing Casting Nets are designed for catching crabs, crawfish, crayfish, lobsters, shrimp and other small fishes. This portable, foldable, durable black mesh casting nets come with a half inch mesh size perfect for catching small species of fishes. However, this size may not be suitable to catch larger fishes or reptiles such as snakes and turtles. Recent customer reviews indicate that while it is a great product, it may not be suitable for trapping larger species. Some customers had issues with holes being eaten through the net, and others had issues with raccoons being able to pull the trap out of the water and enter it. Despite mixed reviews, if you are looking for a casting net for smaller fish and crustaceans, this product is worth Considering.
