  • Question: Does anyone know if this is similar to orvus paste? the packaging and label look exactly like orvus from years ago. thanks!

    Answer: Yes, I find it similar to Orvus. Am pleased with results.
  • Question: I ordered a vintage cross stitch that was not under glass. How can I use this product to get the cigarette smell out?

    Answer: I love Quilter's rule and have used it to clean a couple of my antique quilts. However, if you don't need to clean two or more quilts ----- I suggest trying vodka instead. No kidding. I saw a YouTube tutorial and spraying clothing/smelly cloth with vodka (undiluted) works miracles in removing unwanted stink. OR, alternatively, you could try spraying the piece with a diluted solution of white vinegar. Best of luck.

    Answer: On the container it says ' manufactured in the United States '
  • Question: How much do you use?

    Answer: I follow label directions.
  • Question: Would you recommend this for cleaning embroidery?

    Answer: Yes - used mine on antique lace.
  • Question: Does this work with high efficiency washing machines?

    Answer: Yes.
  • Question: Is this supposed to be like slightly soapy water?

    Answer: My understanding is that this soap is exceptionally mild so it’s not super sudsy and rinses out easily leaving no residue. That was my experience with it on an antique lace tablecloth and what I wanted so the lace would not get damaged by harsh soap.
  • Question: Received jar and had leaked. Product is just like Soapy water? Is that normal?

    Answer: Mine was creamy so your experience sounds like defective product.
  • Question: Is this product 100% sodium lauryl sulfate (SLS)?

    Answer: That's all that is written on the container.
  • Question: How do you use in a front loading washer? No way to fill with water first.

    Answer: I haven't actually used it yet. but I will try putting the scoop in a little warm water then pouring it in the soap dispenser. Should work.
