Products 11016 Strainer Skimmer Basket for Standard and Wide Mouth Skimmer

The Products 11016 Strainer Skimmer Basket has elicited mixed reviews from users. On one hand, customers appreciate its price point and that it fits well in skimmers when measured correctly. Some users have noted that the product serves its purpose adequately, even if its size is on the smaller end, with complaints primarily centering around its durability. However, a significant number of users have expressed dissatisfaction with the longevity of the product. Reports of cracking along seams after just a few days of use indicate a concern regarding the sturdiness of the plastic material, which many describe as brittle and lightweight. This fragility can result in the basket becoming compromised under typical operational stress, such as debris accumulation post-storms or intense suction from the filter. Additionally, the basket’s tendency to float and misalign during backwashing poses an inconvenience, allowing debris to bypass filtration. Overall, while the basket may be a convenient and affordable option for smaller applications like spas or even tea sets, its performance in standard pool skimmers appears to be hindered by design flaws that compromise both its stability and durability. **
