The cage comes with a swiveled panel on the bottom that tilts the radio up for easier access, and rubber feet that hold it in place on a surface. However, there are some negative reviews that raise concerns about the use of the tripod mount hole. One reviewer reported that the Windcamp ARK-705 Shield completely lost GPS signal upon installation, and therefore had to give it a lower rating. Another reviewer also mentioned that the cage uses the tripod screw on the bottom as the main point of security for the rig in the cage, which means it is impossible to secure a good tripod stand to the cage.
