Is this ladder suitable for all above-ground pools?
Answer: As long as your pool has a top rail that is at least 12 inches wide and no taller than 56 inches, this ladder should be compatible. -

Can the gate be opened from either side?
Answer: No, the gate can only be opened from the outside of the pool for safety reasons. -

Is the ladder difficult to install?
Answer: No, the ladder comes with all necessary hardware and can be easily installed in just a few hours. -

Can this be split for use as a ladder from the ground to deck, then deck to pool?
Answer: Yes but you need to buy the attachment for the deck. So I purchased this from this seller and parts where missing. Go the the manufacturer website and buy it there. -

Is this steps on both sides or ladder on one side and steps on the other? Pics are lousy on details.
Answer: There are steps on BOTH sides. What you see in the picture is the same on both sides...minus the safety gate of course. -

Do you put the gravel on both sides of the ladder?
Answer: we don't have gravel on both the out side of the step ladder, we have pour concrete so the steps can rest on top, like a little side walk. -

Could this ladder be used for 42 in pools?
Answer: Yes, it says it works for up to 4.5 feet, which is 54 inches. If you don't want it sitting right on the top of your pool, it's best to go about 4 ft for the side of your pool. Check your parts when you receive it. They had double of one side piece & not the correct one, but the company was very good at sending the correct one. Read the info on sending it back. You will need to pay for shipping & restocking fee, which wouldn't really be worth the money. -
