HOSHIZAKI Ice Machines AM-50BAJ-AD Editorial Review
The Hoshizaki AM-50BAJ is an excellent ice machine that produces top hat ice, which is 7/8" x 1" in size. It does not come with a light inside but can be used with an RO system. Although it does not come with a drain pump, one can be purchased separately. The ice melts slowly and doesn't stick together, providing fresh ice. It does not produce cubelet ("sonic") ice, which requires the C-80BAJ-AD model. Overall, customers are satisfied with the Hoshizaki AM-50BAJ's performance, compact size and high-quality ice production. The machine is easy to clean and sanitise, and the top hat ice is ideal for use in a variety of beverages. Some customers recommend purchasing a drain pump, while others have successfully used the ice maker without one. **
