It is very slightly smokey and earthy, perfect for gentle exfoliation. The optimum way to use this soap is to wash with your hands, loofah or washcloth. Leave on for a few minutes, and then rinse. The soap itself is amazing and works wonders on skin, but customers should be careful and not use it too frequently, as it can damage the skin. It is also not recommended for use as a shampoo, though it can be used to wash your face. The combination of the Zakia's Morocco Moroccan Black Soap Collection Vanilla and a Kessa Glove is brilliant for exfoliation, and will leave your skin feeling super smooth. It is recommended to use the Kessa glove when your skin is really warm and moist, like when you are sweating or just after a warm shower or bath. Some customers reported issues with the soap turning liquid, but the company's co-owner is very responsive and willing to replace any products with issues.
