Strings Editorial Review
The Basic Harp for Beginners book published by Mel Bay is receiving mixed reviews. While some customers found it informative and helpful for learning the harp, others were disappointed with the poor print quality, confusing notations, and lack of instruction. The book covers basic aspects of playing the harp such as hand positions, finger placement, and reading music. However, it lacks in terms of explaining some techniques and providing clear guidelines. It also has some songs in the back to practice playing. The book may be best suited for those who want to review their knowledge after a break from playing the harp or for rank beginners.
