The Tornado CTX women's work hiker is built to perform with a 6 inch oiled tumbled leather that is durable and long-lasting. A leather pull tab affixed to a padded collar helps with foot placement and provides support to the ankle area. The toe area is reinforced with an external scuff guard that helps with abrasion. A TPU heel guard reinforces and also aids with kick-off, helping you to remove your boots. Inside a waterproof and breathable CTX membrane keeps feet dry, while a BreathActive lining promotes air flow. Puma's Evercushion removable footbed feels comfortable against your feet with a fabric lining that helps control moisture and keep your foot from slipping inside the boot. This footbed is made of dual density polyurethane that provides cushion support and will retain its shape. Additional cushion is found in midsole, that is made to reduce impact, allowing you to remain on your feet and moving the full day. For safety the Tornado CTX Mid has an interior composite protective toe made of a fiberglass compound that is strong, yet light weight and also meets ASTM requirements for impact and compression. These boots also provide you with an ASTM-approved level of resistance against electrical hazards. A rubber outsole gives you protection against heat - resisting up to 572-degrees F - and also is slip-resistant, keeping you on your feet on a variety of surfaces.
