It is used once a year in addition to using Seachem Stability for beneficial bacteria for a deep clean. Pristine helps to break down the gunk in the tank while Prime removes chlorine and detoxifies ammonia in tap water. It is safe to use with invertebrates, and reduces nitrates and the film on the water surface remarkably. Pristine does not eliminate algae, and is not used for clearing bacteria bloom, as it contains bacteria itself. One user recommends API accu-clear for clearing bacteria bloom instead of using Pristine. Results from using Pristine can vary, as some users saw improvement in a day or two while others couldn't see any improvement after a week. In combination with Seachem Stability, it renders a crystal clear tank with excellent water quality. However, some users claimed that Pristine caused a thick film on the water surface while others had a bad experience with the quality of the product received.
