Reinsman Bits 951 Editorial Review
The Reinsman 951 Mechanical Hackamore with Flat Leather Nose; Stage C is a well-made hackamore that is suitable for a wide variety of horse head shapes. According to the Q&A section, the nose band is covered in leather without any metal or any other material underneath it, and it can be difficult to determine the size of hackamore required from the horse's cheek/head measurement. Customers have generally had a positive experience with the product, though some expressed issues with fitting. One customer found it a little large for their standard quarter horse and was unable to adjust it on top, while another noted that the holes for the headstall could be a little bigger. However, another customer found that the hackamore worked well for their 18-year-old AQH, who responded better to leg and neck reining signals than a Snaffle bit. The same customer followed up to note that they had no problem trail riding with their horse and that it was nice for the horse to drink and eat grass with the hackamore on.
