The JOYO Noise Gate Effect Pedal is an electric guitar effect pedal that reduces extra noise from the signal. It can be powered by either DC 9V adapters or a 9V battery. It is not recommended for use with bass guitars. The pedal is an A or B switch and cannot do both at the same time. Customer experiences with this product are varied. Some find that it works very well, while others have found that it does not work at all and ended up returning it. Another customer found that the pedal "cuts too much, compresses the tone and kills the sustain." On the other hand, one customer found that it added volume to their drum machine and another stated that it did exactly what it was supposed to do, and they were very happy with it.
