The Scilogex 18900016 PT 1000 Temperature Sensor is a stainless steel probe that is compatible with some hotplates, but not all. It is not compatible with the Chemglass OptiChem hotplates, Barnstead 731p digital hotplate, or the Scilogex MS7-H550-Pro hotplate. The sensor itself works properly and is of adequate construction. However, it may exhibit erratic behavior when used with the MS7-H550-Pro hotplate. Unfortunately, Amazon does not accept returns for this sensor, so buyers need to be cautious when purchasing.
