Henry Wansbrough (Translator) Format: Hardcover Spiritual Growth Editorial Review
The Revised New Jerusalem Bible: Study Edition offers a well-crafted translation filled with insightful annotations, suitable for readers seeking depth in their scripture study. Although it features a manageable font size for reading ease, the 2416 pages may feel daunting, particularly for first-time readers. The book includes numerous footnotes and informative introductions for each section, enhancing its educational value. Despite some critiques about the amount of annotations compared to its predecessor, most users appreciate its enhanced readability and the quality binding. The translation itself is praised for its modern phrasing that retains poetic integrity, making it a meaningful companion for sacred study.
