What is Armor AR350 Low Gloss Wet Look Concrete Sealer used for?

Armor AR350 is a professional-grade color enhancing concrete sealer specifically designed for exterior concrete surfaces. It enhances the natural appearance of concrete by providing a low-gloss finish that brings out color and detail. Ideal for patios, driveways, and walkways, it protects against water, stains, and UV damage while creating a captivating wet look that enhances the aesthetics of your outdoor space.

How does the Armor AR350 compare to other concrete sealers?

Armor AR350 stands out among concrete sealers due to its solvent-based formulation that offers enhanced durability and color enhancement. Unlike water-based sealers, AR350 penetrates deeper into the concrete, providing long-lasting protection against moisture and environmental factors. This makes it particularly well-suited for high-traffic areas. It is ideal for homeowners and contractors looking for a reliable and aesthetically pleasing solution for exterior concrete surfaces.

How long does it take for Armor AR350 to dry?

Armor AR350 typically dries to the touch within 1 to 2 hours in ideal conditions but achieves full curing within 24 to 48 hours. Weather conditions such as temperature and humidity significantly affect the drying time. It’s crucial to allow the sealer to cure fully before subjecting the surface to foot or vehicle traffic to ensure optimal durability and appearance.

Can I apply Armor AR350 on previously sealed concrete?

Yes, Armor AR350 can be applied over previously sealed concrete as long as the old sealer is compatible and in good condition. For best results, it is recommended to remove any existing sealers that are failing or incompatible to ensure proper adhesion and performance. Performing a few tests on a small area will help determine compatibility before proceeding with full application.

Is Armor AR350 safe for pets and plants?

Yes, Armor AR350 is safe for pets and plants once the sealer has fully cured. While the product is solvent-based, it is designed to be non-toxic after curing, making it suitable for outdoor applications where pets and gardens are present. However, ensure that pets are kept away from the area during application and until the sealer has completely dried to avoid any temporary irritation or disruption.

What surfaces can I apply Armor AR350 to?

Armor AR350 is suitable for a variety of exterior concrete surfaces, including decorative concrete, stamped concrete, and plain concrete. It can be used on patios, driveways, sidewalks, and pool decks, enhancing both the aesthetics and protection of the surface. This versatility makes it a popular choice for residential and commercial projects alike.

How do I apply Armor AR350 Low Gloss Wet Look Concrete Sealer?

To apply Armor AR350, ensure the concrete surface is clean, dry, and free from any debris or previous coatings. Use a low-pressure sprayer, roller, or brush for application, ensuring even coverage. It is advisable to apply two thin coats for optimal results, allowing each coat to dry before applying the next. This method ensures a uniform finish and maximizes the protective qualities of the sealer.

How often should I reapply Armor AR350?

Reapplication of Armor AR350 typically depends on environmental conditions and usage. Generally, it is recommended to reapply every one to three years or when you notice a decline in performance, such as fading or water not beading on the surface. Regular maintenance will help maintain the appearance and protective qualities of your concrete over time.

What tools do I need for Armor AR350 application?

For the application of Armor AR350, you will need basic tools including a low-pressure sprayer, roller, or brush, depending on your preferred method. A concrete cleaner may also be necessary for surface preparation. Having drop cloths or tape on hand will help protect areas you do not wish to seal. These tools ensure a smooth application process and lead to the best possible finish.
