Fizik Saddles 70D2S A03A02 Editorial Review
The Fizik Aliante R1 Open Saddle has garnered mixed reviews from customers reflecting a blend of comfort, design, and durability, suitable for dedicated road cyclists. Reviewers often highlight the saddle's firm padding, which provides a responsive ride but may not feel plush for cyclists accustomed to softer alternatives. Riders appreciate the saddle's performance when paired with padded bike shorts, noting a reduced sense of discomfort during longer rides. Most users report that the comfort level improves significantly after breaking in the saddle, which suggests that initial concerns can diminish with use. However, the saddle has its detractors. A notable number of customers experienced issues with durability, citing instances of structural failure after a year of use, which raised concerns about quality. These issues are compounded by reported dissatisfaction with customer service from Fizik, particularly regarding warranty claims. When it comes to fit, the narrower design of the saddle may not accommodate all body shapes perfectly, leading some cyclists to experience discomfort in sensitive areas during more aggressive riding positions. Despite these drawbacks, many find the Aliante R1 suitable for endurance riding, especially when the correct fit is achieved. Overall, the Aliante R1 is positioned as a good choice for its intended use, provided buyers are well-informed about saddle selection and committed to finding the right fit. **
