- Build a solid start in arithmetic with practical, hands‑on lessons that move your child from concrete objects to abstract numbers, one idea at a time. This independent number primer guides young learners through core concepts like seeing numbers as magnitudes, using everyday objects, and building a reliable sense of quantity. It emphasizes understanding over memorization and gradually introduces half, counting, and simple multiplication in a clear, approachable way.- Discover how to connect numbers to real objects (apples, marbles, toothpicks) and images.- Practice forming number facts through quick, visual exercises that avoid overreliance on symbols.- Learn to work with halves, tens, and simple combinations to explore addition and basic multiplication.- Build counting fluency and the habit of thinking about quantity before words or symbols.Ideal for parents and teachers seeking a gentle, structured start to arithmetic, this edition helps early learners see math as meaningful reasoning about the world, not just memorized rules.Forgotten Books publishes hundreds of thousands of rare and classic books. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work.
