Sencor SWK1776GD 1.7L Stainless Steel Electric Kettle with Lid Safety Lock, Gold

In the current market of electric kettles, this particular model stands out as a budget-friendly option that adequately fulfills its primary function – boiling water. Many users appreciate its affordability, highlighting that it performs well for its price point. However, several critiques center around the materials used in its Construction. The plastic water level window and lid have raised concerns among customers, as there are worries about potential leaching of microplastics and chemicals into the water when boiled. This has led some users to recommend investing in kettles made entirely from metal or glass for more enhanced safety and durability. Customer experiences indicate that while the kettle does its job, it may not meet the expectations of those accustomed to quicker boiling times, with some noting that it operates slower than other models they are used to. Additionally, there were reports of quality control issues, such as a broken lid hinge upon arrival, which detracted from the overall satisfaction with the product. In summary, this kettle serves its purpose for those seeking an economical option but comes with certain trade-offs in terms of material safety and boiling efficiency. **
