TTARTISAN Editorial Review
The TTArtisan AF 27mm f/2.8 E-Mount lens has garnered a mixed but generally positive reception among users, particularly for its combination of compactness, usability, and imaging capabilities. Primarily used for street photography, many users appreciate the unique focal length of 27mm, which strikes a perfect balance between the more limiting 23mm and 35mm options. This lens is appreciated for being lightweight and easy to handle, making it a functional companion for casual outings, such as dog walks or café visits. The lens produces pleasing bokeh reminiscent of vintage lenses, but it does come with some trade-offs. Users have noted a significant degree of vignetting, which can be polarizing depending on personal taste. Additionally, while the autofocus generally performs well, a few users reported instances of malfunction after less than a year of use. The lack of weather sealing is another downside that users must Consider when taking it on outdoor adventures. Overall, the TTArtisan AF 27mm f/2.8 lens is praised for its image quality, especially at apertures around f/4.0 to f/8.0. It proves to be a cost-effective alternative to pricier options, with a build quality that users found satisfactory. However, those seeking close-up shots may feel limited, as the lens does not excel in that regard. In summary, if you’re looking for an affordable, compact lens for everyday photography, the TTArtisan AF 27mm f/2.8 stands out as a strong contender, though it may require compromise in terms of autofocus reliability and close-up capabilities. **
